The team is very proud to share that Narci and Zagreus have both successfully passed their Canine Good Citizen test! This test proves that both dogs are polite members of society as outlined by the American Kennel Club.

“On Sunday, Queen Anne’s County witnessed the very best of what it means to come together as a community. Thanks to the tireless efforts of more than 130 search and rescue professionals, law enforcement officers, emergency services personnel, volunteers, and support teams, 83-year-old Linda Mullikin was safely located and reunited with her family.

Our office extends its deepest gratitude to every person, organization, and agency who played a role in this outcome. This search would not have been successful without the extraordinary collaboration and commitment shown by each of you.”

The team was honored to attend the Achieving True Self resource fair in Hagerstown. The team shared hug-a-tree information and helped families create scent kits for their loved ones.

We enjoyed hosting a joint training today with Eastern Panhandle Search and Rescue, and a member of Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Natural Resources Police reserve officer program. Members from all teams engaged in a small Search operation that allowed both teams to work their dogs and flank each other on various types of tasks. We hope this is the first of many opportunities to work together. Thank you Heather Holman for putting together the plan.

The team was invited to participate in the Sharpsburg Memorial Parade. Six members were able to walk with a few of our four-legged partners!
